To achieve any goal requires two important things. They are focus and motivation. Focus is there for you to keep you on track of your goal and motivation is the engine that gets you to your destination. Without these two important qualities, you will have a hard time achieving your goal. Here are 4 easy tips to maintain your focus and motivation to reach your goal!

  1. Write down your goal in large big letters

There have been many scientific papers that show that if you write down your goals in large big letters, it helps you to maintain motivation and focus. This could be due to that writing in large big letters will help to put your goal as your first priority and immediate attention in your mind. Writing in large big letters also emphasizes the importance of your goal.

  1. Imagine the benefits of achieving your goal

Sometimes when people get stressed, distracted and de-motivated, they forget the benefits they could have if they achieve their goal. People also forget why they want to achieve the goal which makes them unmotivated and doubtful if they can reach their goal. The only way to counteract this is by constantly imagining what would be the benefits of achieving your goal.

For instance, if your goal is to make a million dollars in two years and you feel that you have a lack of motivation to achieve it, then just imagine that a million dollars can bring all your desires true. For example, you can imagine that you don’t have to work anymore and you can spend most of your time traveling. Imagining these benefits will give you a good incentive to motivate yourself towards your goal.

  1. Walk at least 30 minutes a day

Walking helps you to keep focused on your destination. This is because when you walk, you clear out all the distractions and clutter that is clouding your mind. Also, walking helps to increase endorphins (a natural happy hormone) in your body which makes you feel happier. When you feel happier, it makes you feel positive that you can achieve your goal.

  1. Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day

It is important that you keep yourself hydrated throughout the day, otherwise, your mind will wander and not be focused. Therefore, to keep yourself constantly hydrated, you should drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. Doing so will make you be focused and motivated.
